The LPGA Tour heads to Malaysia this week for the inaugural Maybank Championship at Kuala Lumpur Golf and Country Club. It’s the first time since 2017 that the Tour has made an annual stop in the country, and the 78-player field is stacked with major champions and LPGA Tour winners that will be battling it out for a $3 million purse in Kuala Lumpur. Six of the top 10 in the Rolex Women’s World Golf Rankings, including KPMG Women’s PGA Championship winner Ruoning Yin, U.S. Women’s Open champion Allisen Corpuz and Amundi Evian Championship winner Celine Boutier, are set to tee it up as are a slew of players from Malaysia, the most notable of which are LPGA Tour veteran Kelly Tan and Epson Tour winner Natasha Andrea Oon.
