The Kingdom hosts the 2026 World Energy Conference in its twenty-seventh edition

The World Energy Council announced that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, represented by the Ministry of Energy, will host the twenty-seventh edition of the World Energy Conference during the period from October 26 to 29, 2026, in the city of Riyadh.

The Kingdom won this hosting after submitting very competitive offers from all members of the National Committees of the Council, which number more than 70 members representing more than 3,000 organizations from the entire energy system.

The World Energy Congress, the world’s leading, most comprehensive and influential energy event, has been supporting energy transitions for more than a century by connecting stakeholders representing all energy interests from around the world.

On this occasion, His Royal Highness Prince Abdulaziz bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Minister of Energy, said: “We are pleased in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to host the World Energy Conference for the year 2026 AD, at this time that represents an important stage for the global energy sector. There is no doubt that the World Energy Conference, which was launched since… century, has a special place among the leaders of the energy sector in the world, as it is a global event in which all relevant individuals and institutions, from producing and consuming countries, meet. Bringing together more than 150 executive speakers, more than 250 speakers, 70 ministers, and more than 7,000 international energy stakeholders, the World Energy Conference connects sectors, geographies and systems to achieve a more equitable energy transition.

The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia will become the official host of the World Energy Conference after the upcoming twenty-sixth edition of the World Energy Conference is held in Rotterdam, Netherlands. The Kingdom will organize a pavilion during this important event. The conference cycle will move to every two years after the conference is held in April 2024.
